Terms of Service

1. Who we are

"Lawgistics", "we", or "us" means the operator of lawgistics.my. "You" means the person or business using the platform. These terms form a contract between us the moment you use the platform or create an account.

2. What Lawgistics is, and is not

We provide:

• Document templates, self-service legal document templates drafted against Malaysian law, which you complete yourself.
• Lawyer matching, an introduction service connecting you with independent Malaysian-admitted lawyers.
• Paralegal booking, supervised paralegal support engaged by law firms and practitioners.
• The Litigation Academy, training and educational material.
• A research library, reference material and general legal information.
• Independent practice support, marketing, operational, and business services for lawyers.

We are not a law firm. We do not practise law, do not provide legal advice or representation, do not act as your solicitor, and do not hold client money. Using the platform does not create a solicitor, client relationship between you and us.

3. Templates are a starting point

Our templates are drafted for common situations and general use. They are not tailored to your circumstances, and no lawyer has reviewed your particular facts unless you have separately engaged one. You are responsible for deciding whether a template is right for your situation, for completing it accurately, and for having it reviewed where the stakes justify it. Every generated document carries a notice to this effect.

4. Lawyer matching and introductions

Where we introduce you to a lawyer, that lawyer is independent of us. Any engagement, retainer, scope, and fees are agreed directly between you and them, and they alone are responsible for the advice they give. We do not share in, receive a commission on, or take any part of a lawyer's professional fees, and we do not accept instructions on any lawyer's behalf.

5. Intake calls and general information

Free intake calls, the research library, and Academy material are general information and business guidance, not legal advice, and they do not take account of your specific circumstances. Case summaries in the library are our own plain-English notes and are not substitutes for the official law reports, verify any authority before relying on it.

6. Your account

You must give accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. We may suspend or close accounts that are used unlawfully or in breach of these terms.

7. Fees and refunds

Document prices are shown before purchase and are one-time fees per document unless stated otherwise. Fees are in Ringgit Malaysia. Where a money-back guarantee is offered, it is stated at the point of purchase and applies on the terms given there. Bespoke work quoted through the matching or paralegal services is priced separately and is payable on the terms of that quote.

8. Your content and your documents

You keep ownership of the information you enter and of the completed documents you generate. You grant us only the limited licence needed to host, process, and deliver them to you. We claim no ownership over your documents, and we do not use the contents of your documents to train any model.

9. Our content

The templates, the drafting logic behind them, the library summaries, the Academy material, and the design and content of the platform belong to us or our licensors. You may use the documents you generate for your own or your business's purposes, including with your counterparties. You may not resell, redistribute, or republish our templates or content as templates or content, or use them to build a competing product.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt unauthorised access, not to scrape it at scale, and not to use it to produce documents intended to mislead or defraud.

11. Availability

We work to keep the platform available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw features. Where a change materially affects paid services, we will tell account holders.

12. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss, and for loss of profit, revenue, business, or data. Our total liability in connection with the platform is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose. We are not liable for the advice, acts, or omissions of any independent lawyer we introduce you to. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where they apply.

13. Personal data

We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice, issued under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here applies, and where a change is material we will notify account holders before it takes effect. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the updated terms.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the Malaysian courts have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
